A Socio-Cultural Analysis of Prevention Between Subjectivity, Autonomy, and Social Structures

Abstract: This article examines self-defense beyond its physical dimension, highlighting the central role of awareness in preventing violence against women. From a social sciences perspective, it explores the cultural, psychological, and economic factors that shape the ability to recognize and counter dynamics of violence, control, and dependency. Key elements such as self-esteem, economic independence, personal boundaries, support networks, emotional education, and knowledge of rights are analyzed, framing prevention as a complex and collective process aimed at fostering subjectivity and self-determination.
